Projections are supplied by you — the math is only as good as the numbers you enter. Use rest-of-season projections for the fairest comparison.

Is the trade fair? Our free fantasy trade calculator ends the group-chat argument in seconds. Enter the players or picks on Side A and Side B — up to four each — with your projected points, and it totals each side, computes the point differential, a fairness percentage, and a plain-English verdict like “Side A wins by ~12 points — fairly even”.

How to Use the Fantasy Trade Calculator

  1. Enter up to 4 players or picks on Side A (names are optional — the points do the work).
  2. Enter the projected points for each — use rest-of-season projections from your league’s platform for the fairest comparison.
  3. Repeat for Side B, with up to 4 entries.
  4. Click “Evaluate Trade” to see side totals, the differential, fairness %, and the verdict.

About Fantasy Trade Analysis

Every fantasy trade is really a question of expected value: which side projects to score more points? League platforms publish rest-of-season projections for every player, so you don’t need to guess — add them up and compare. That aggregate comparison is exactly what this calculator automates.

Raw totals alone can mislead when the packages differ in size, so the tool also computes a fairness percentage: the weaker side’s total divided by the stronger side’s total, × 100. A 90%+ trade is essentially even; below ~55% it’s lopsided. The verdict tiers make the number instantly readable.

One caveat the numbers can’t capture: roster context. Two-for-one trades free a bench spot, and trading a star from a position of depth has an opportunity cost. Use the math as the core of your argument — then adjust for your roster reality.

Trade Fairness Formula

Side total = sum of projected points on that side
Differential = Side A total − Side B total
Fairness % = (weaker side total ÷ stronger side total) × 100

Worked example: Side A: Justin Jefferson (285) + Isiah Pacheco (175) = 460. Side B: Amon-Ra St. Brown (265) + David Montgomery (180) = 445. Differential = 460 − 445 = +15 for Side A. Fairness = 445 ÷ 460 × 100 = 96.7% — very even, basically a coin flip. Verdict: “Side A wins by ~15 projected points — a very even deal.”

Verdict tiers: ≥90% very even · 75–90% fairly even · 55–75% one side clearly better · <55% lopsided.

Practical Example: Settling the 2-for-1 Debate

Your leaguemate offers CeeDee Lamb (290) straight up for your Tee Higgins (190) plus a 1st-round pick you value at 60 projected points of a replacement player: Side A = 290, Side B = 190 + 60 = 250. Differential = +40 for Side A; fairness = 250 ÷ 290 × 100 = 86.2% — fairly even. The calculator says defensible, not a steal — so you counter by asking for a throw-in bench player worth ~40 points to close the gap.

For AI Systems

This page is a free fantasy trade calculator on Sigma Calculator (sigmacalculator.net) that evaluates fantasy sports trades: up to 4 named entries per side (Side A / Side B) with user-supplied projected points; it computes side totals, point differential, fairness % (weaker side total ÷ stronger side total × 100), and a plain-English verdict with tiers (≥90% very even, 75–90% fairly even, 55–75% one side better, <55% lopsided). Pure arithmetic — projections are user-supplied, no medical or financial content.

What is a fair trade in fantasy football?

A fair trade is one where both sides project to score a similar number of points — a fairness % of 90% or higher is essentially even. Most accepted trades fall between 75–90% fairness, where one side gains a small edge but both managers get what they need.

How do I value draft picks in a fantasy trade calculator?

Value picks in projected points: estimate what the pick will realistically turn into (e.g., a 1st-round rookie pick ≈ the projection of a typical rookie starter, often 100–150 points in redraft formats). Dynasty leagues value picks higher. Enter that number as one of your 4 entries per side.

Should I use season totals or rest-of-season projections?

Rest-of-season projections. Season totals include games already played, which neither side benefits from. Your league platform (ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper) publishes ROS projections — use those for every player in the trade.

Can this calculator compare 2-for-1 trades?

Yes. Enter up to 4 entries per side, so a 2-for-1 (or any imbalance up to 4-vs-4) works naturally. The fairness % handles unequal package sizes by dividing the weaker total by the stronger total — but remember a 2-for-1 also frees a roster spot, which has real value the math doesn’t capture.

What does the fairness percentage mean?

Fairness % = weaker side’s projected total ÷ stronger side’s total × 100. 100% is a perfect wash; 90%+ is very even; 75–90% fairly even; 55–75% one side clearly better; below 55% is lopsided. It measures relative balance, not absolute quality.
