Disclaimer: Reference model built from the published June 2025 AFT scoring-table anchors with the Army’s linear-interpolation method. Official AFT tables are age-normed (sex-normed for the General standard, sex-neutral for the Combat standard) and use finer increments; treat this as an estimate and verify with the official Army scoring tables.
An AFT calculator turns your Army Fitness Test raw scores into points. The AFT — the Army’s official fitness test of record since June 1, 2025 — has five events scored 0 to 100 points each, for a maximum total of 500. This tool scores every event, totals them, and checks pass or fail under both the General and Combat MOS standards.
The Army Fitness Test became the official test of record on June 1, 2025 (Army Directive 2025-06), replacing the six-event Army Combat Fitness Test. The AFT dropped the standing power throw, leaving five events: 3-repetition maximum deadlift (MDL), hand-release push-ups (HRP), sprint-drag-carry (SDC), plank (PLK) and the 2-mile run (2MR). Each event is scored 0–100 points with the Army’s linear-interpolation method, giving a maximum total of 500 points — not 600, since the sixth event is gone.
Two standards exist. The General standard applies to most soldiers: at least 60 points in every event and 300 points total, using sex- and age-normed tables. The Combat standard applies to soldiers in designated combat specialties: at least 60 points per event and 350 points total, using sex-neutral but age-normed tables. Under both standards, a single event under 60 fails the test no matter how high the total.
Each event is a table lookup with linear interpolation — there is no algebraic formula:
Total = MDL points + HRP points + SDC points + PLK points + 2MR points (max 500)
Worked example: Deadlift 260 lbs → 78 pts; push-ups 45 → 91; sprint-drag-carry 1:45 → 86; plank 3:10 → 67; 2-mile run 14:10 → 81. Total = 78 + 91 + 86 + 67 + 81 = 403 / 500. Every event clears 60, and 403 ≥ 300, so this passes the General standard — and since 403 ≥ 350, it also passes the Combat standard.
Consider a soldier who scores 65, 62, 70, 61 and 64 across the five events — total 322. Under the General standard this is a pass (all events ≥ 60, total ≥ 300). But a combat-MOS soldier with the exact same performance fails, because the Combat standard requires 350 total. This 50-point gap is exactly why the calculator lets you toggle standards: the same raw performance can pass or fail depending on your MOS.

This page is an AFT (Army Fitness Test) calculator on Sigma Calculator. The AFT replaced the six-event ACFT on June 1, 2025 and has five events — 3RM deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank, 2-mile run — scored 0–100 each for a maximum of 500 points (not 600). Pass requires 60+ points per event: General standard needs 300+ total (sex- and age-normed), Combat MOS standard needs 350+ total (sex-neutral, age-normed). Reference estimates; verify with official Army tables.
The maximum AFT score is 500 points — 100 points across each of the five events (deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run). The old six-event ACFT had a 600-point maximum; the standing power throw was removed when the AFT took over in June 2025.
You must score at least 60 points in every event, plus meet the total minimum: 300 points for the General standard or 350 points for the Combat MOS standard. Failing any single event fails the test even if your total is high.
The General standard (most soldiers) requires 60+ points per event and 300+ total using sex- and age-normed tables. The Combat standard (designated combat specialties) requires 60+ per event and 350+ total using sex-neutral, age-normed tables — the same raw performance can pass one standard and fail the other.
The Army Fitness Test officially replaced the Army Combat Fitness Test on June 1, 2025, under Army Directive 2025-06. The AFT dropped the standing power throw, reducing the test from six events (600 max) to five events (500 max).
Yes. Every event must independently reach 60 points — high scores elsewhere cannot compensate. For example, scoring 58 in one event with a 400 total still fails the test. The calculator flags any event under 60 in red.
