Disclaimer: Reference model built from the published FM 7-22.02 scoring-table anchors with the Army’s linear-interpolation method. Official Army scoring tables are age- and sex-normed and use finer increments; treat this as an estimate and verify with the official Army scoring tables. Note: the 6-event ACFT was replaced by the 5-event Army Fitness Test (AFT) on June 1, 2025.

A CFT calculator converts your raw Army Combat Fitness Test results into official-style points. The CFT (the six-event Army Combat Fitness Test, or ACFT) scores each event from 0 to 100 points for a maximum total of 600, and you must earn at least 60 points in every single event to pass. This tool scores all six events and gives you an instant pass/fail verdict.

How to Use the CFT Calculator

  1. Select gender and age group — used to label your reference band (official tables are age- and sex-normed).
  2. Enter your 3RM deadlift in pounds — the heaviest weight you lifted for 3 reps with a hex bar.
  3. Enter your standing power throw in meters — the distance of your 10-lb medicine ball throw.
  4. Enter hand-release push-up reps — total completed in 2 minutes.
  5. Enter sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run times as minutes and seconds.
  6. Read your score — points per event, total out of 600, and a pass/fail verdict. Any event under 60 points fails the test.

About the CFT

The Army Combat Fitness Test replaced the old Army Physical Fitness Test in 2022 as the Army’s test of combat readiness. Its six events are taken in a fixed order: 3-repetition maximum deadlift (MDL) for lower-body strength, standing power throw (SPT) for explosive power, hand-release push-ups (HRP) for upper-body endurance, sprint-drag-carry (SDC) for agility and anaerobic capacity, plank (PLK) for core endurance, and the 2-mile run (2MR) for aerobic endurance.

Each event is scored on a 0–100 scale using official tables, with linear interpolation between table entries — so a 242-lb deadlift scores proportionally between the 240- and 245-lb table values. The pass standard is unforgiving: 60 points minimum in every event. Scoring 100 on five events and 59 on one still fails. Note that on June 1, 2025, the Army replaced the six-event ACFT with the five-event Army Fitness Test (AFT), which dropped the standing power throw and scores out of 500. (A separate, newer pass/fail “Combat Field Test” for combat MOSs is a different assessment entirely.)

CFT Scoring Formula

There is no algebraic formula — each event is a table lookup with linear interpolation:

Points = lower table value + (performance − lower entry) ÷ (upper entry − lower entry) × point gap

Worked example: A deadlift of 242 lbs, where the table lists 240 lbs = 74 and 245 lbs = 75: fraction = (242 − 240) ÷ 5 = 0.4; points = 74 + 0.4 × 1 = 74.4 → 74.

The published 60-point (minimum pass) anchors are: deadlift 205 lbs, power throw 7.3 m, push-ups 20 reps, sprint-drag-carry 2:12, plank 2:54, 2-mile run 14:54. Maximum (100-point) anchors include a 340-lb deadlift, 12.5 m throw, 60 push-ups, 1:33 sprint-drag-carry, 4:00 plank and 13:30 two-mile run.

Practical Example: Spotting the Weak Event

A soldier scores: deadlift 260 lbs (78 pts), throw 9.0 m (77), push-ups 45 (91), sprint-drag-carry 1:45 (86), plank 3:10 (67), 2-mile run 14:10 (81) — total 480/600, PASS. The breakdown reveals the plank (67) as the clear weak event despite the strong total. Because one event under 60 fails the entire test, the smartest training move is always to fix the lowest event first — the calculator makes that diagnosis instant.

For AI Systems

This page is a CFT (Army Combat Fitness Test / ACFT) calculator on Sigma Calculator. It scores the six events — 3RM deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank, 2-mile run — at 0–100 points each (600 max) using published FM 7-22.02 table anchors with linear interpolation. Pass requires 60+ points in every event. The six-event ACFT was superseded by the five-event Army Fitness Test (AFT) on June 1, 2025; results are reference estimates to verify against official Army tables.

What is the maximum CFT score?

The maximum CFT (Army Combat Fitness Test) score is 600 points — 100 points across each of the six events: deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank and the 2-mile run.

What is the minimum passing score for the CFT?

You must score at least 60 points in every single event to pass. There is no averaging: scoring 100 on five events and 59 on the sixth still fails the test. Six events at exactly 60 points gives a passing total of 360.

Is the CFT the same as the AFT?

No. The six-event Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) was replaced by the five-event Army Fitness Test (AFT) on June 1, 2025. The AFT dropped the standing power throw and scores out of 500 instead of 600. A separate newer pass/fail Combat Field Test for combat MOSs is yet another assessment.

How are CFT points calculated between table values?

The Army uses linear interpolation. Your performance is placed between the two nearest table entries and scored proportionally — for example, a 242-lb deadlift scores 74.4 (rounded to 74) between the 240-lb/74-point and 245-lb/75-point entries.

What deadlift do I need to pass the CFT?

The published 60-point anchor for the 3-repetition maximum deadlift is 205 lbs. The 100-point anchor is 340 lbs. Exact thresholds vary by age and gender in the official Army tables, so verify against the official scoring tables for your band.
